At Dove we understand that Sustainable tourism is about protecting and enhancing the natural environment and resources for future generations, whilst at the same time ensuring long-term economic and socio-cultural benefits.

Therefore as a part of our commitment to sustainable tourism , we prefer to utilise , local outfitters , stay in small scale , locally owned accommodation and frequent local shops for meals, supplies and crafts. These practices facilitate a high degree of contact with locals and ensures that the economic development our business brings goes directly to local businesses and communities.

Our goal is to ensure that the business we bring to remote communities is a positive experience for local people, and tourists themselves. As a company that specializes in off-the-beaten path experiences in some of the most exotic and unexplored parts of india , we always limit our group size to small in number . This size is less intrusive on the environment and local tourism infrastructure. It also facilitates better opportunities for local interaction.

We employ guides with experience in working and living in the areas in which we travel. They are familiar with the area's local culture, environmental issues, natural history and any particular challenges associated with traveling through remote areas of India . We select our guides based on their knowledge and commitment to sustainable travel and train them in low-impact travel. We use local guides on all of our trips for specific excursions.

In order to stimulate local economies ,as much as possible we try to use locally-owned accommodation with an emphasis on hotels that pursue good environmental practices such as conserving water and minimizing waste.We encourage our travellers to buy handicrafts and souveniours directly from the communities that we visit.While planning our itinerary we always give emphasis on using local mode of transportation . we encourage our travellers to use cycle rickshaw , tuktuk & bicycle to empower the local economy and experience india in its true sense . We encourage our clients to sample local cuisine, to purchase authentic products and to bring reusable fluid containers

During our tour to access remote areas, we place a high emphasis on non-motorized travel in including walking,trekking , kayaking, rafting. When we walk and hike, we stick to the trails to avoid damage to the native flora.Our pre-trip information contains insight into social and environmental issues that impact on areas we visit. Tour itineraries include learning about each area's unique social and environmental issues, and how to minimize the environmental impact of our visit. . We practice a policy of reduce, reuse and recycle on all tours .. When we camp, we practice no trace camping.

Dove tours supports a number of envirironmental & social projects .we encourage community based project among the local people . we educate ,train and help the local people initiate , form and manage small project to reap the benefit of tourism . we are committed to working for the children - the future generation of our beautiful world..We have been supporting the children for their primary education from our own funds. we also actively involve ourselves in many projects aimed at developing the weaker section of the society being run by other non government organisations.During our tour programme we always include visit to one of the projects where the guests can learn about our role in the developmental activities that we undertake in the areas that we operate.
